Is this amount of SkS needed for the opener or rather for "smooth" gameplay? If I remember correctly, for your former opener you recommended 600+ Sks, so I guess, it´s for smotth gameplay? Speaking of openers, I know, that the advantage of "Minuet ON/OFF" lies in the ability to move freely and to use 2 oGCD, but is there also a significant DPS increase (for like in cases, where I don´t need to move and don´t need to use 2 oGCD)?

700+ sks for a smoother rotation in my opinion.

In terms of openers i would adivce you to use whatever feels better for you. Minuet on / off is there to allow me to double weave and get 1 or 2 autos before going back applying DoTs. It also makes movement easier, but mainly to allow double oGCD in between GCDs without losing much.
